West Valley City and the Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCU), along with other community stakeholders, have partnered to create the Idea House program, aimed at rehabilitating distressed homes throughout the City.
The program takes a holistic approach to safety, energy efficiency and accessibility renovations, all while keeping the home affordable for new owners.
The program not only provides safe, affordable options for first-time homebuyers, but increases property values and encourages neighborhood improvement.
Idea houses, once complete, are sold to first-time, low-to-moderate income homebuyers, who must complete homebuyer education through the Community Development Corporation of Utah.
Homebuyer education courses are available to anyone interested in purchasing a home. Learn more about the Community Development Corporation of Utah.
