The West Valley City Police Citizens Academy is a 10 week program designed to give participants a real working knowledge of our police department. Citizens Academy participants take part in classroom discussions and hands-on training scenarios. There’s no cost, other than the commitment of your time.
The West Valley City Police Citizens Academy is held twice annually, with one session in the Spring and another session in the Fall. The next Citizens Academy is scheduled to begin September 4, 2019 and will run through November 6, 2019.
To join us for our next Citizens Academy, complete an application and submit it to the reception desk in the police department lobby, 3575 S Market Street.
Applications for the Spring session of the Citizens Academy are due by Monday, August 26, 2019. Those selected for this session of the academy will be notified by email.
